I have been working in coffee for 4 years (3 at caribou and I am at my one year with Starbucks) and today I had the worst customer I take ever had. This woman comes in with her daughter and orders a strawberry frap and a crisis frap with 3 shots of espresso. She asked me to make it a fleck thicker and then pour the remaining into a actress loving cup since she bought the espresso. I institute this fair and I honored it. Every bit I finish her drinks she is purchasing some our on auction cups. Once she is finished she walks over and says "I need to make sure this tastes right" and so proceeds to ask if I too used frap roast (I did) and she said good and tried it. She immediately got upset and said it wasn't sugariness enough. I explained that since she had the actress shots and they caramel pumps are one-half pumps it wouldn't exist every bit sweet simply I offered to remake it for her. I manus her the new potable and go to become myself some Advil for a headache. I come back not even 3 minutes afterward and she is yelling at my other barista because they clearance cup she bought was croaky. She asked if she could trade information technology for one of our NEW CUPS we got in out last order and I explained to her i can't do that because information technology was a $30 loving cup and hers was 20 with xxx% off. She got so much more upset and said she wanted a new cup and so me and the barista star showing her other cups because I told her I could refund and recharge for a new one. And she is getting very very mad and just keeps screaming I want a new cup. She looks at my barista who is crouched downward trying to help her pick and she goes " get upward I don't know what you are doing but I want a new cup " and she says. "Yes I am trying to help you" and I tell her to at-home downwards we are trying to help her find a cup and she just finally says I want my money back. I told her it wasn't a problem and I asked if she nonetheless wanted to supersede the cup. She gets mad over again and says "I've been asking this whole time I need a new cup for my potable." And I was similar okay we can practise that for yous and she FINALLY explained that the whole fourth dimension she was only wanting a normal plastic venti cup. I repent for non understanding??? She is like "I didn't even desire you to weep why are yous blowing this out of proportion I never did anything. I've been nice this whole time and you guys accept a serious attitude problem. It is your chore to brand me happy and I am not happy at all. I need to exist happy when I leave. That is your job. Yous did this." Then she grabs her kid and storms out. I walk away to at-home downwardly and I come dorsum and the MOD Of the store (my Starbucks is a booth in a grocery shop) and she goes I'chiliad sorry I didn't come up over I was actually busy. Afterward I explain what happens she tells me while the women was at the mix in station SHE dropped the cup on the floor and That'southward provably how information technology broke. Tell me if I'm existence crazy simply that was Just then awful. I've never had anyone act like that. There are more small details I left out but why do people deed like this sometimes ? It honestly ruined my task for me and I love making coffee and making connection. I'm near to move to Washington and I was about to work at a nice corporate store in Seattle simply I've completely changed my heed at present.
